Costume Design, Props, Equipment

We have finally deciced when is shooting day, we are going to film on december 19th. In the following days I will make film schedule and story board. But for today, we as a group decided what the costume design of the film would be. 

I was essentially in charge of costume design, but with also great aid from everybody in the group. As I was already the director and writer, I already had a clear image on what the characters would be. So, I told them the type of clothes I wanted them to wear and they picked out the clothes they had that fit with my description. They sent pictures of the clothes.

Clothes for my character was easily picked out by me as I knew what I exactly wanted. The character is supposed to be depressed, sloppy, unprofessional and tired looking. So plain black shirt and sweat pants combo and also a green baggy hoodie. The hoodie fit all the descriptions, it looked sluggish due to the dark ugly green color used and was very casual with addition to also looking worn out.

 For Darren, I always imagined him wearing a dark shade hoodie and sweatpants as the character is supposed to be ominous and subtle with his speaking so a hoodie makes sense, not showing the full picture.

For Niranjana, I just thought while writing the character that the setting is personal, her house so she should be wearing casual clothes. Something like a baggy v neck top.

For Abbas, as he is supposed to be contrasting his brother. So, being professional, I thought a button shirt and tie combo made sense.

They are going to send pictures of them posing with clothes to get my full confirmation, we will see in a few days. Also, for the props, we were thinking of using a bottle, which is presented as an alchoholic drink, for the first scene. I don't know if we are able to do it as it may be seen as too expicit. I will ask my teacher. There's not much props then that. In the equipment side of things, we used an Abbas's Iphone 15 as it was the best camera we had in disposal. We are also are getting a lavelier microphone, they are the best mics to use with iphone and phones in general. So yea, that's pretty much it.
