Shooting schedule and location

The shooting schedule and locations is also been decided for the first day of shooting. All the scenes that had the members from our group would be recorded while the scenes with other cast member not apart of our group, my brother, would be filmed another day. I made the shooting scedule in EXcel, here it is.

Scene 1 and 5 would be filmed in the roof of my building at night time when its dark, which I got permission from the guards of my building. I will not say the name of my building for privacy reasons. When I was writing the script I specifically thought of my roof while writing the scene. There are pillars in my rood which you can climb via ladder, theses places can provide nice shots from low angle or side. you can see these pillars even in my story board for scene 1. Also, my building is one of the tallest in the area so the views are amazing anf you can see everything around. it's a quiet rusty area with vents and no light. it sets the dark mood very well.

Scene 2 would be filmed in my apartment complexe living room around late afternoon time. The place fits the setting I need for the scene and it is easy location to stay as it is in my home.

Scene 4 would be filmed on a parking in another buildings parking lot close to mine building around afternoon time, again I had received permission from the guards. The place just looked like a random city street which I thought made sense as the brother character is busy man and is going to his work while the main character is bugging him. We need to follow a strict time schedule.

My group should come around 5 pm to my apartment building. Reach my home and film scene 2. Then 5 30 pm we would film scene 4. And then by 6 15 start filing scene 1 and 5 together as its in the same place. We needed enough time t rehearse each scene and take at least two good takes for each clip and scene. as we live in the UAE, daylight time ends around 6 10 this time of year. So, we needed enough daylight time for scene 2 and 4. Even though the scene 2 and 4 themselves are very short so 1 hour for a collective 40 seconds of footage seems ludicrous, it gives us enough time to make them perfectly, look through the story boards, check on the footage multiple times while recording, and move between locations in all that time comfortably.
