Delving into the Film soundtrack
I'm starting to also make the soundtrack of the opening scene. I was re-watching scene 2, the break up scene. I felt having no noise in the background made the scene little flavorless. Not the engaging tension I thirst. Not because the scene was bad, I thought it was really good, the acting was great. But, I think a song in the back ground would solve this issue.
From the beginning, I knew I could only include a song that has no copyright. So, I always put the text “non-copyrighted” when searching for a song. I also wanted a song that was sad and bitter sweet as to fit with the context of the scene, a break up. So I searched up “melancholy non copyright background music”. I found a song that fit the context, Melancholic Cinematic (Free Music) - "A KIND OF HOPE" by Scott Buckley. But, it couldn’t fit my vision. It was too complicated I guess. It was a song where the audience might focus too much on it and miss the important detail. So, I started seaching again. And I found a really good song that worked wonder fully for the scene. I cropped it up to fit the length of the scene.
Darren also sent me his voice recordings of his re written lines. So, I will put them when I film the new shots. Which will be tomorrow night I believe. My friend from the building is going to help me film it.
