post production
We have finally reached the post production phase of my portfolio. It has been an amazing experiece and honestly very enlightning experience. I have always wanted to make a proper film and this subject finnaly gave me the chance to do it. I've enjoyed researching, planning, writing, storyboarcding, acting, directing, and filming. All of it was fun and I gave it my all. Now we come to the last part, editing the footage.
Like I said in previous posts I've been trying to learn how to edit but my group and I still did not know what the process would be or who would actually do the job. Now that we are here. I wanted to also be a large part of the editing process. Other members did not want to be burden with such efforts. So, I was fully in charge of the editing. I was now the editor of the film aswell.
I looked through editing tools, my teacher had recomended cap cutt but that software was too limited for me. Clip champ and filmora were great tools, but both were paid subscriptions. Davinci was a really good editing software but was not beginner friendly and complex. Premiere seemed like the best option because the most well established editing tool out of all. However, it came with a price tag I ws not keen on paying. If your speaking about Premiere Pro that is. Premiere rush was the free alternative. Although, it was more limited than pro, it had enough and a good beginer editing software which was great for because I am a beginer.
