Shooting day 3

I finally got to film the new scenes for the film. I was not going to reshoot any scenes that were filmed in scene 1 and 2 as Darren was not present. Only film the new scenes that I added in my rewrites. Me and my friend filmed at night time, 7:30 as scene 1 and 5 were also filmed at that time which these shots will be added to them. It was the same place, the roof of my building. As well as in the same pillar we were on. Before me and my friend went to the roof. We got a bottle of barbican, as I wanted the bottle to look like an alcoholic drink but in reality, it’s not alcoholic it just looks like it.

I took a few takes of each shot for scene 1 and 5. It didn’t take that long to film as previous shootings. I was more experienced and better prepared for tasks such as these. I used the time efficiently. I remember one moment which was a bit tedious was the scene where I threw the bottle. Because, I only had one shot for this take so it needed to be perfect. Even though, I had two, I had to use the other for another shot. I couldn’t afford to get another. For this scene I rehearsed off camera to get it just right. Then we took it and it was great. I was so relieved when I saw it. I also used a phone torch light as a backlite for these scenes too. I’m telling you, this is a cost effective method of backlite for scenes outside at night. Anyways, its already pretty late so I’ll film tomorrow morning. Signing off from yours’s truly.
